I have been having difficulty with Green Smoothies. Sometimes they are incredibly delicious, other times they are dubious at best, and on the remaining occasions, I find them to be downright revolting. Revolting is not very inspiring. Also, no matter how long I blend the drinks, there is always a certain chunkiness/thickness to it that makes it challenging to consume in large quantities. After hearing many people rave about the benefits of green juice, I decided to (finally) open my juicer and give it a try. The results were fabulous, delicious, and exhilarating!

Gorgeous Green Glory

- 4 leaves Romaine
- 4 leaves Kale
- 4 stalks of celery
- small bunch of Cilantro
- small bunch of Parsley
- Handful of sprouts
- 1 clove of garlic
- 1 apple
- Spice to taste with Herbamare

WOW! I could drink this all of the time. I don’t believe in messing with perfection, but I believe a tomato or two would be even better – if only I had a tomato or two in the fridge. As it is, I’ll be working hard to support my new “habit” as I expect to be going through an entire bunch of celery a day. Since it contains a great deal of water, it makes an efficient base for juice.

Happy Juicing!
