Perhaps it was my low energy (general malaise) and general ambivalence towards many things, but someone/something stuffed a very angry and insistent bee into my bonnet this week. Granted – I snuffled the odd piece of cheese, and I enjoyed a couple of pita wedges – however, for the first time in eons, I was able to meet my goals in a satisfactory manner. I consider 90% raw to be a fine accomplishment. Although many of the raw food activists – Alissa Chohen, Victoria Boutenko, for example – state that going 100% is the only way (for the majority of people) to refrain from reverting back to a mainly cooked diet, I am hopeful that “working up to it” might actually work for me.
