Over the weekend, while browsing through my favourite local video store, I came across a documentary entitled Crazy Sexy Cancer. I don’t want to say too much about it, except “RENT IT!” and “WATCH IT!” and maybe even “BUY IT!” and, if you can’t find it, check out the blog of the director, producer, actor, and cancer-cowgirl herself. Her forays into raw food and green smoothies made me howl with fervent laughter; apparently I’m no longer the only gal around who has received a Vita-mix blender as a present from her signifcant other. But seriously, it was a fantastic story of hope, despair, humour, and tears, with the lovely heroine coming out victorious and kicking cancer’s ass! The past few days, it has been much easier for me to drink those green smoothies… and with regards to our “growth experiments”, I am making a promise to myself that we will not accidentally kill the next batch of sprouts or wheatgrass
