Decadent Healthy Chocolate

Over the weekend, I had an experimental epiphany in the kitchen. It started off with a simple desire to make chocolates:
- 2 cups of dates
- 1/2 cup of walnuts
- 1/2 cup of pecans
- 1 Tbsp coconut
- 2 Tbsp raw cocoa
- 1 tsp maca root powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 5-10 allspice
- 1/2 inch piece of [...]

In Praise of Divinely Raw

Yesterday, we picked up our first Nour.ish box from Divinely Raw. I have never had raw ginger snaps before. They were fantastic and I’m hoping to figure out how to make them myself. I cannot say enough flattering things about Cynthia at Divinely Raw. She is an amazing person and a wonderful chef!

In the Raw: The Beginning

What happens when a new-age Vancouver-bound vegetarian gal meets a handsome Guelph-based spiritually-minded vegan? Sparks fly, power shakes are drunk, and tofu is scrambled. Almost immediately, they decide they want to live together, practice yoga, abstain from cable television, and eat mostly raw food.
